YouTube has banned Russian state media Russia Today (RT) and Sputnik in Europe. YouTube has taken such a step in response to Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
Earlier, Facebook under Meta had also decided to ban RT and Sputnik in Europe. Twitter has decided to reduce user access to RT and Sputnik content.
Earlier, YouTube itself decided not to advertise on any YouTube channel in Russia. Meanwhile, state media RT and Sputnik have been banned in Europe.
The company says that Google’s team is currently working on it.
Meanwhile, another streaming platform, Netflix, has stopped broadcasting 20 Russian state-backed television channels carrying propaganda, refusing to comply with Russia’s new rules.
Russian media’s YouTube channel has been banned in Europe.
