The Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) will be expanded to seven states. As per the directive of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, the working capacity and scope of work of Nast will be expanded.

It is mentioned in the Gorkhapatra that Prime Minister Deuba gave such instructions while addressing the 45th Prajna Sabha of the academy on Friday. Stating that the government has been giving priority to the development of science and technology, Prime Minister Deuba, who is also the patriarch of Nast, promised that the government would assist Nast in the study and research work in the coming days.

"Efforts need to be made to develop new technologies and to adapt to the technologies needed to bring in the technology. It's important to do everything possible, "he said.

Similarly, Nast's Vice-Chancellor and Minister for Education, Science, and Technology. Devendra Poudel said that the real development of the country would not be possible without the development of modern education and technology in the country. He said that the ministry would formulate and implement a concrete plan to expand Nast to all the provinces.
