Chitwan. Now the customs duty can be paid online. On the occasion of the 70th International Customs Day on Wednesday, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma 'Prabhakar' inaugurated the e-payment system and launched online payment service.
At the same time, businessmen can now pay customs duty online. Minister Sharma said that this would make it easier to pass customs checks at home and also facilitate revenue collection.
"It will serve as an important tool for business facilitation, customer service and employee time saving," he said. "It will also improve the work of customs staff."
In addition, Minister Sharma said that a 'vehicle scanner' will be introduced at the customs point soon.
"We have started e-payment. We will soon be launching scanners at major customs offices, "he said.
