Chitwan. A new update has come to the Citizen app, which is designed to provide all government services from one app as much as possible.
With the latest update of Citizen app (version 1.4.6) comes the facility to apply for foreign study permit (No Objection Letter) and link press pass.
Along with this, one can now apply for the NOC issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology through the Citizen app. However, it will take some time for the payment facility to become available, said a source in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
A source close to the ministry told Techmenia that if the application is completed now and the process is completed from the Foreign Study Permit Branch of the Ministry, the information can be viewed in the Citizen app. In the upcoming update of Citizen app, we are also bringing the facility to pay NOC fee online. Not only this, the facility to link the press pass issued by the Department of Information and Broadcasting has also been added with the new update.
Currently, there is only a facility to view your details, but in the next update of the app, it will be possible to apply for a new press pass or renewal from the app.
The next update will be available in a week. Even though the new version of the app was made available on Android on Monday, it is estimated that it will take about a week for this update to come on iOS as well.
